Luke Otto brings veteran utility and specialist upside to Northwestern
Luke Otto’s profile is all about experience and versatility: Northwestern lists him as a graduate transfer kicker/punter from Western Illinois, where he helped the Leathernecks to consecutive winning seasons and led the Missouri Valley Conference with 31 touchbacks in 2016. He’s the kind of specialist coaches like because he can handle multiple jobs, adds field-position value, and has a proven kicking pedigree rather than just raw leg strength. If your team needs a steady, mature depth piece with special-teams flexibility, Otto is a sensible fit.
