Jake Zawatsky brings two-way depth and local grit to UMass Lowell
In the 2026 season, Jake Zawatsky is a sophomore at UMass Lowell listed as an outfielder/right-handed pitcher, and his value is versatility: he can help on the mound and in the field, which makes him a useful roster fit for a team that likes flexible pieces. UMass Lowell’s own roster bio points to a strong prep resume at Austin Preparatory, including two-time captain honors and membership on a 19-0 high school team, while a March 2026 game note showed him working 1.0 inning with a strikeout. The upside is a steady, team-first utility arm with local roots and real development runway.
