New Mexico State’s old-school two-way forward who stuffed the stat sheet
In the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons, Sherell Neal was a high-usage New Mexico State forward who combined scoring punch with real defensive value, earning All-WAC honors and all-defensive recognition while posting consistent double-figure scoring and strong rebounding. She was praised as the Aggies’ charge on the court, with opponents and previews highlighting her ability to lead the team in points and boards. If you want a forward who brings toughness, efficiency around the rim, and veteran competitiveness, Neal checks the box; she was the kind of player who could bend a game without needing flash.
