Ashton Chronister is Xavier’s big-bodied lefty with starter upside
In the 2026 season, Ashton Chronister has emerged as a key Xavier arm, posting a 3.51 ERA with a 1.17 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 33.1 innings across 10 appearances, including six starts; he also threw six scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a BIG EAST weekly honor-roll outing. At 6-foot-8 and 245 pounds, he brings a tough downhill look, improving command, and enough swing-and-miss to matter. He looks like a fit if you want a physical, left-handed starter who can give you innings and compete.
