Howard DB Jalen Smith brings steady tackling presence, but current 2026 impact data is thin
Jalen Smith is a Howard Bison defensive back with a reputation profile that suggests a reliable, assignment-sound piece in the secondary, but the available current 2026 public stat line is limited, making his true impact harder to gauge from numbers alone. His appeal is likely in the defensive details—discipline, physicality, and fit in a team that values clean coverage and run support—rather than headline-grabbing splash plays. If your team wants a DB who can help stabilize the back end, Smith is worth a look; if you need a proven ball-hawk with verified production, the public evidence is still pretty light.
