Big-frame Red Raider lineman with starter pedigree and blue-collar upside
Hakeem White, a 6-foot-3, 285-pound redshirt freshman from Waco’s Midway High, brings a solid recruiting profile and the kind of trench toughness Texas Tech loves in the 2026 season. He was a three-star prospect, ranked as high as No. 55 among offensive guards by 247Sports and No. 40 by Rivals, and his background suggests a developmental lineman with real upside rather than a finished product. What stands out is his versatility and growth path: he’s the type of big, physical blocker who can add value with strength, technique, and steady development inside the Red Raiders’ offense.
