Marquez Davis brings old-school linebacker grit to Norfolk State
Marquez Davis is a physical, tackle-first linebacker whose value shows up in the dirty work: in the 2007 season, he posted a career-high 16 tackles in one game and earlier logged 12 tackles with three tackles for loss, signaling active downhill instincts and disruption potential[2][9]. Norfolk State listed him as a linebacker with a background that included 92 high-school tackles and team-captain leadership, which fits a player who plays with urgency, toughness, and command[1]. If a team wants a tone-setter who can trigger fast and hit consistently, Davis looks like a fit[1][2][9].
