Olufemi Opanubi brings proven production and disruptive playmaking to Georgia State’s linebacker room
Opanubi is a compact, productive linebacker who showed real impact with 39 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery in his Georgia State season, suggesting he can contribute in both run support and short-area coverage. He looks like a fit for a defense that values instinct, physicality and reliable assignment football over pure flash. The key differentiator is his all-around steadiness: he may not be a highlight-machine, but he has already shown he can finish plays and create occasional disruption, which matters for teams needing a dependable interior defender.
