Freddy Rodriguez is Memphis’ leadoff spark plug with record-breaking wheels
In the 2026 season, Freddy Rodriguez hit .300 for Memphis, led the team in hits (68) and walks (35), and swiped a program-record 45 stolen bases, good for third nationally and first in the American Conference. He’s a disruptive INF who pairs speed with steady at-bats and postseason poise, going .529 in the conference tournament and earning All-Tournament honors. At 5-11, 167, he brings quick-twitch athleticism, defense at third base, and lineup-setting energy that can change a game without warning—exactly the kind of high-motor fit contenders love.
