Georgia State freshman CB Monterrius Echols brings size, speed, and upside
Monterrius Echols enters the 2026 season as a fresh-faced Georgia State corner with legit length at 5'11" and 170 pounds, plus a track record of production from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. In 2023, he posted 34 tackles and 6 passes defended for a state-title team, a nice indicator of both competitiveness and ball skills. The early read: he looks like a developmental, high-motor outside CB who could fit a team that wants toughness, speed, and growth potential. Current college stat lines are not yet available, so his value right now is more about ceiling than resume.
