Jake Waas brings proven defensive-line toughness and veteran instinct to UC Davis
Jake Waas is a former UC Davis defensive lineman whose value came from steady, assignment-sound play rather than flashy box-score numbers; in 2011, he appeared in two games and recorded two assisted tackles at Southern Utah, while his earlier bio notes he earned the George Belenis Award as an outstanding redshirt in 2010 and was also recognized as Scout Defense Player of the Week that season. He stands out for work ethic, discipline, and versatility rooted in a strong multi-sport background, including a black belt in karate, making him the kind of player who fits a physical, detail-oriented defense.
