steady two-way guard with starter-level production and winning pedigree
Matt Walls profiles as a high-impact guard for Marshall because he brings a balanced all-around game: scoring, playmaking, rebounding from the backcourt, and active defense, with a background that includes averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.5 steals in high school while leading Scott County to a Kentucky state title and earning Sweet 16 MVP honors.[3] For a team, that blend matters because it suggests a competitive, versatile guard who can handle multiple roles, not just a scorer.[3]
