Jake Merrill brings Cornell a safety prospect with upside, but limited public production data
Merrill is listed as a Cornell Big Red safety, but there is not enough reliable public stat data in the available sources to identify standout 2025-26 production; what matters most is his rostered defensive back profile and the fact that Cornell has him in the mix at a position where range, tackling reliability, and communication are premium traits. If you’re evaluating fit, he’s a name to watch for development and depth rather than a proven stat-sheet mover right now.
