former South Carolina State DL with size and trench-ready pedigree
Jalen Cousar entered South Carolina State as a big-bodied defensive lineman from Butler HS in Matthews, N.C., listed at 6-0, 315 pounds in the Bulldogs’ roster history. Available public roster and media-guide material does not show current 2025-26 production or stat leaders for him, so the clean read is that his value profile is built on interior mass, run-game toughness, and nose-tackle style space-eating rather than flashy box-score numbers. For a staff shopping for a plugger who can collapse leverage and hold the point, that’s a useful archetype.
