Darren Fields brings veteran DB polish to UAlbany
Darren Fields is a long, experienced defensive back for UAlbany, listed at 6-foot-1, 177 pounds on the program roster, and he has been part of the Great Danes’ secondary since 2019, which hints at real staying power and coach trust. ESPN still profiles him as an active Albany DB, but publicly available recent stat detail is limited, so the bigger story is his body type, multi-year familiarity with the program, and likely value as a steady, assignment-sound defender rather than a flashy stat collector. If your team wants length, experience, and maturity in the back end, he’s the kind of low-drama add coaches tend to love.
