McNeese FB Drew Johnston brings veteran size and blue-collar reliability
Drew Johnston is a compact, experienced fullback listed at 5-11, 230, and his value is more about role fit than headline stats: McNeese’s roster notes show him as a senior, while ESPN lists him in the Cowboys’ player pool with limited public stat output[6][3]. He profiles as the kind of blocker/short-yardage piece coaches trust for physicality, toughness, and dirty-work snaps, which makes him a sensible fit for teams that want a true old-school lead blocker rather than a carry-heavy back[4][1].
