Andrew Dumont brings power-arm upside and a legit strikeout pulse to SLU
In the 2026 season, Saint Louis right-hander Andrew Dumont has flashed swing-and-miss stuff and usable innings, including a 3.0-inning, scoreless start with two strikeouts against Utah Tech and four strikeouts in an early-season outing versus Western Illinois[6][9]. He entered SLU with high-end pedigree, previously ranked among the nation’s top 350 players and near the top 100 right-handed pitchers, plus top-tier Missouri credentials[3]. The fit is pretty simple: if a staff wants a competitive arm with starter traits, strike-throwing upside, and enough bite to miss bats, Dumont is the kind of arm worth a long look[3][7].
