Jason Jelic brings veteran catcher pop and steadiness to Xavier
Jason Jelic is a senior catcher for Xavier in the 2026 season, and his value is the classic hard-to-find combo: real catcher size, switch-hitting? no—he bats left and throws right, plus enough offensive juice to change a game. In 2025, he hit .209 with 6 home runs, 30 RBI, and a .336 OBP, while also handling catching duties cleanly; Xavier listed him with a 1.000 fielding percentage in early 2025 stat logs. He fits a team that wants a seasoned backstop with experience, power potential, and a professional feel behind the plate.
