Georgia Southern's Enduring Bench Spark with Pro Potential
Aubrey McRae, a 6'4" shooting guard for the Georgia Southern Eagles, has shown flashes of brilliance as a limited-minute contributor, averaging just 1.5 PTS, 0.3 REB, and 0.1 AST at 31.0% FG in the 2016-17 season across 10 games, but his high school dominance (19.3 PPG, top-36 in GA) and accolades like 2018-19 Peach Belt Player of the Week and Eurobasket Summer League All-Star highlight elite scoring instincts and athleticism. Now 29 with recent pro stints at Garden City Magic, his gritty intensity and Augusta roots make him a versatile, undervalued fit for teams needing depth and leadership—watch for a breakout if minutes expand.
