James Nunnallee brings contact skills, bat-to-ball discipline, and SEC-ready athleticism
In the 2026 season, James Nunnallee was a versatile Mississippi State outfielder who started in right field before sliding into a more defensive-replacement role, finishing with a .241 average, 1 home run, and 5 RBI. His calling card is the contact profile: as a freshman at Virginia in 2024, he hit .296 with a .407 OBP, more walks than strikeouts, and ACC-best strikeout control, which screams mature at-bats. He’s a left-handed hitter with solid outfield value and strong competitiveness—more grinder than glamor, but the kind of guy coaches trust.
