ETSU's Clutch Scoring Guard from the 2003 Era
Kiya Verdell, a standout guard for East Tennessee State Buccaneers in the 2002-03 season, showcased elite clutch ability by dropping 14 points—including 8 in the final five minutes—to rally ETSU past Elon, while owning single-game records like 9 points vs. Appalachian State and 7 blocks vs. Davidson. Her differentiator was ferocious late-game intensity and defensive versatility, making her a reliable leader in tight SoCon battles. Though graduated long ago, Verdell's poise under pressure screams 'proven winner'—perfect fit for teams needing a battle-tested spark plug.
