Left-handed bat, on-base skills, and a useful infield fit for Minnesota
Jake Elbeery enters the 2026 season as a 6-foot-4, 225-pound left-handed hitter who gives Minnesota a disciplined, line-drive profile with some pop and versatility around the infield. In the 2025 season, he hit .269/.409/.364 with 25 hits, five doubles, one triple, two home runs, and 13 walks in 30 games, showing he can get on base and punish mistakes[1][4]. Earlier reports praised his balanced swing, relaxed hands, and ability to consistently find the barrel[3][9]. He also has a notable injury history from Richmond, so he looks like a strong fit if your team values patience, contact, and upside—but wants to manage durability carefully[1][11].
