compact Kentucky back with walk-on grit and downhill pop
Derek Bishop is listed by Kentucky as a 5-foot-7, 192-pound freshman running back, and that compact frame suggests a low-center-of-gravity runner who can finish runs with leverage[1]. The public info available here is thin on current 2026 production, but his profile points to a physical, high-motor style rather than flashy speed, which can make him a useful depth piece if a team wants toughness, ball security, and special-teams juice over pure headline stats[2].
