Eli Hoerner brings speed, versatility, and a contact-first spark to Omaha
In the 2026 season, Eli Hoerner has been a gritty, senior outfielder for Omaha who gives the Mavericks a steady bat-and-baserunning profile rather than loud power, with a .183 average, 6 stolen bases, and 11 strikeouts in 2026 team stats. He also delivered a career-high three RBIs in a May 15 win over South Dakota State, showing he can pop up in the big moments. The big appeal: he fits as an energy guy who can pressure defenses, play with edge, and add lineup depth without needing the ball to leave the yard.
