Tony Bates brings smart, gap-shooting linebacker play for Dartmouth
Tony Bates is listed as a senior linebacker for Dartmouth at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, and the program describes him as a smart player who can exploit gaps in blitzing situations rather than overwhelm with size[1]. That profile makes him a fit for a defense that values instinct, timing, and inside leverage: think reliable run fits, pressure potential, and the kind of football IQ coaches love on critical downs[1].
