Victor Coronado brings Texas State a power bat with true two-way upside
Coronado arrives at Texas State in the 2026 season as a physically imposing infielder with real pop, having been praised as a 6-foot-2, 200-pound two-way player and a power right-handed hitter who earned all-district honors in each of his last three high school seasons.[2][4] His calling card is impact offense and run-producing ability—Texas State highlighted a .405 batting average with five home runs in the summer of 2023—and evaluators have also pointed to his strong defensive actions and arm strength at shortstop, which gives him a higher ceiling than a one-tool corner bat.[2][4]
