Veteran UCF linebacker who brought toughness, size, and team-first leadership
In the 2016 season, Maurice Russell was a senior linebacker for UCF who played in all 13 games and finished with 13 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 2 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble[1]. His calling card was versatility and physicality — at 5-foot-11 and 272 pounds, he gave the Knights a bruising, veteran presence in the box and was described as a team leader and role model for younger players[1][9]. If you want a reliable, hard-nosed linebacker who can help set the tone physically and culturally, Russell fits that mold[1][9].
