Prairie View's Steals Machine with JUCO Pedigree
DeWayne Cox, Prairie View A&M's gritty guard, boasts career NCAA D1 averages of 6.1 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 0.9 APG, and elite defensive chops—highlighted by his 2021-2022 season ranking Top 5 nationally in steals at 2.52 SPG (68 total). A Ripley, MS native with two strong JUCO years at East Mississippi CC (11.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.0 SPG), Cox excels as a high-motor pest who disrupts offenses with deflections and quick hands, making him a perfect fit for teams needing perimeter defense and rebounding energy from the backcourt without injury red flags.
