Dylan Leaird is Cornell’s do-it-all spark in the defensive backfield
In the 2025 season, Dylan Leaird emerged as a versatile difference-maker for Cornell sprint football, finishing with 51 tackles, an interception, five pass breakups, a tackle for loss, and two blocked kicks, while also leading the CSFL in kick return average at 23.1 yards. He’s the kind of CB who shows up everywhere: aggressive in run support, disruptive in coverage, and explosive on special teams. The appeal is easy to see — high motor, immediate impact as a freshman, and a “play fast, play fearless” vibe that coaches love for high-pressure, assignment-heavy roles.
