trusted perimeter defender and streaky shot-maker who brought veteran poise to UMES
In the 2013-14 season, Louis Bell was a senior guard for Maryland Eastern Shore known for perimeter defense, unselfish play, and timely scoring bursts; the Hawks’ coach praised him as a “tremendous defender” with a “great shot from behind the 3-point-line.” He played 29 games with 6 starts, averaged 4.8 points in 18.4 minutes, and added 32 assists, 13 steals, and a team-best 88.9% free-throw mark, which suggests a reliable, high-IQ role player who fits teams needing toughness, spacing, and steady veteran leadership.
