Jhase McMillan brings redshirt-freshman speed and special-teams value to Montana State
McMillan is a compact, explosive defensive back whose best differentiator is verified track speed—he’s been timed at 10.99 in the 100 meters and 21.32 in the 200—which gives him real upside in coverage and in chase-down plays. In 2024, he played in four regular-season games to preserve redshirt status and still logged action in every playoff game, a sign Montana State trusted him in meaningful spots. The biggest reason to care: he looks like a developmental DB with athlete-level tools, physical upside, and early-game experience that could translate well if you want speed in the secondary.
