Winthrop’s Casey Culbreth Brings Live-Arm Utility and Upside
Culbreth is a right-handed pitcher for Winthrop in the 2026 season with a sturdy 6'0", 185-pound frame and a reputation as a solid strike-thrower with usable sink-and-run movement. Winthrop’s roster lists him as an RHP, while pre-college scouting noted average bat speed and a 7.25 60-yard time, hinting at some athleticism but more mound value than flash. In limited 2026 action, he has already handled multi-inning relief work, which is useful if you want a durable, flexible arm rather than a one-inning specialist.
