Nicholls WR Hoang Nguyen: Emerging Speed Threat with Untapped Potential
Hoang Nguyen, a dynamic wide receiver for the Nicholls Colonels, stands out with his explosive speed and route-running precision, making him a mismatch nightmare for Southland Conference defenses; in the 2025 season, he's averaged 14.2 yards per catch on 28 receptions for 398 yards and 4 TDs, ranking top-5 among FCS WRs in yards after catch per reception (8.1). His high-motor intensity and quick learning curve post-high school transition mark him as a coach's dream—resilient, team-first, and primed for a breakout with no injury history. Ideal fit for teams needing a vertical stretch weapon.
