Byron Dawson brings LSU pedigree, but he’s now a *coach*, not a Tigers DT
Byron Dawson is best known as a former LSU defensive tackle and current Centenary head coach, so the premise that he is an active LSU player is outdated; his LSU résumé includes 86 tackles and 4 sacks in college, plus a reputation built on defensive-line toughness and leadership. If you’re evaluating fit, his value is more historical and developmental than current on-field performance: he offers LSU-level credibility, trench experience, and a coach’s-eye understanding of defensive play rather than live player production.
