Matthew Hill gives Southern a steady kicking option with proven leg strength
Matthew Hill profiles as a dependable, no-nonsense special-teams piece for Southern in the 2026 season, with game logs and team stats showing he’s part of the Jaguars’ kicking operation[7]. The cleanest takeaway: he looks like a composure-and-consistency kicker rather than a highlight-reel one, which is exactly what you want when the game tightens up. Public roster/stat pages list him as Southern’s place kicker, but there’s limited up-to-date public performance detail beyond team kicking data, so his value hinges on reliability, field-position help, and whether he can turn routine chances into points[2][7].
