Canon Chester brings junior-college pop, size, and a ready-made infield profile to HCU
In the 2026 season, Canon Chester is listed as a 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior infielder for Houston Christian, giving the Huskies a big-bodied, power-capable bat with a proven JUCO résumé: he hit .368 with 5 home runs and 25 RBI at Coastal Bend College in 2023/2024, and previously helped Sinton High win a Texas state title while batting .424 in his best prep season. The upside here is obvious—impact contact, run production, and physical presence—but his college stat line at HCU is still limited, so he reads more like an upside bet than a finished product.
