Former CMU QB, now listed as a tight end
Austin Hergott is not currently listed as Central Michigan’s quarterback; team and ESPN roster pages show him as a tight end, and his last meaningful game action came in 2018 when he completed 19 of 45 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. The big takeaway: he’s a sturdy, veteran-style athlete with QB background and some dual-threat value from his high school days, but the current fit question is different now because his roster role has shifted, so he’s more of a development/depth piece than a live QB impact option.
