Explosive Elon RB with Big-Play Burst from 2017-2018 Glory Days
Brelynd Cyphers burst onto the Elon Phoenix scene as a redshirt freshman in 2017, erupting for a career-high 129 yards and a TD on just 14 carries (9.2 YPC) vs. Towson—earning CAA weekly honors—and delivering clutch fourth-quarter scores like his game-winner vs. The Citadel.[1][2][4] Paired with backs like De'Sean McNair and Jaylan Thomas, he powered Elon's 2018 playoff run with elite efficiency and shared workload grit, though a playoff fumble highlighted handoff risks.[3][5][6] Care about him for that rare big-play juice in a committee; he'd fit teams needing a versatile, battle-tested change-of-pace RB with proven FCS intensity.
