A 6-foot-4 lefty with real strikeout juice and upside
In the 2025 season, Avery Shiflett arrived at Kennesaw State as a highly projectable 6-foot-4, 220-pound left-handed arm with a power profile and a track record of missing bats. Before college, he went 5-0 with 51 strikeouts in 32.1 innings, allowed only 11 hits, and posted a 0.68 WHIP for Cartersville, while also representing the Washington Nationals at the 2023 Area Code Games. The big takeaway: he looks like a durable, high-ceiling LHP who can help if you want upside, mound presence, and swing-and-miss potential.
