speedy, ball-hawking Memphis DB with veteran instincts
LaKeitharun Ford’s most compelling trait is playmaking: in the 2007 season, he finished with 45 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 3 pass breakups, building on a career that included 3 interceptions and 6 pass breakups at Memphis. He was known as a “speed defender,” reportedly running a 4.3-second 40-yard dash even while dealing with a pulled hamstring, which lines up with the quick-trigger, coverage-first profile that makes DBs valuable. If you want a defender who can cover ground, attack the ball, and bring veteran savvy, he fits the bill.
