Shamar Zaragoza brings size and developmental upside to Southern’s WR room
Zaragoza is a long, versatile receiver whose listed size at Southern as a 6-foot-1, 170-pound freshman and later as a 6-foot, 180-pound junior suggests a player still adding college-ready strength and polish[2][7][9]. He has shown enough playmaking value to contribute on the scoreboard, including 3 points and 6 touchdown entries in Southern’s 2022 scoring stats, but the bigger story is his frame, trackable development, and upside as a depth receiver who could fit a program that values growth, length, and special-teams utility[1][2].
