Mike Jefferson was a do-everything guard for High Point
Mike Jefferson’s High Point profile was built on value over flash: in the 2007-08 season, he led the Panthers in assists and finished his career with 470, while also showing late-game shot-making and steady leadership. He wasn’t just a passer, either — High Point notes that he ranked second in the nation in assists during the 2007-08 season, which tells you he could run an offense and bend a defense without needing the ball in scoring mode. If you want a guard who brings control, poise, and crunch-time decision-making, Jefferson fit the bill.
