John Manning IV brings homegrown burst and proven production to CCSU
John Manning IV enters Central Connecticut State as a compact, explosive freshman runner from Windsor, CT, with a big-time high school résumé: in the 2024-25 season, he piled up 1,765 rushing yards, 25 rushing touchdowns, and 8.1 yards per carry, and was named High School On SI’s 2024 Connecticut Football Player of the Year. The fit is interesting because his game is built on speed, balance, and toughness rather than size—at 5'6" and 180 pounds, he’s a low-center-of-gravity back who can make defenders miss and finish runs with attitude.
