Miami’s kicker-punter with a multi-role specialist profile
David Strimple is listed by Miami as a kicker/punter, which matters because specialists who can handle multiple roles give a roster flexibility edge and reduce substitution risk. Publicly available current-performance detail is limited in the provided sources, but ESPN identifies him as a Miami Hurricanes punter and Miami’s roster lists him as a kicker/punter, indicating a versatile special-teams profile rather than a one-note specialist[5][6]. For a team, the appeal is his positional adaptability and the value of a dependable specialist who can help stabilize field position.
