Liberty’s Kristal Tharp: a high-IQ, award-level guard-forward with academic and leadership juice
Kristal Tharp is best known as a versatile **guard/forward** who earned **CoSIDA Academic All-American** recognition at Liberty, which signals uncommon discipline, preparation, and team-first consistency. Liberty’s records also show her as a productive scorer in the 2004-05 era, but the bigger differentiator is her blend of basketball skill and classroom excellence—useful for programs that value reliability, coachability, and steady all-around impact over pure flash. She fits best as a smart, adaptable piece who can raise a team’s floor and culture.
