Elite Two-Way Center Delivering Double-Doubles and Defensive Presence
The 6-3 Michigan center is a versatile, high-motor post player who consistently impacts winning through scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking. In the 2001-2002 season, Bies averaged 15.8 points and 8.2 rebounds while ranking third in the Big Ten with nine double-doubles—demonstrating her ability to dominate both ends of the floor. Her 246 rebounds that season ranked sixth all-time at Michigan. A two-time Windex Award winner and team MVP, Bies combines reliable mid-range scoring (60%+ FG efficiency) with tenacious rebounding and rim protection (1.3 blocks per game). She's the first Michigan center named team MVP since 1998, signaling her leadership and consistency. Perfect fit for programs seeking a dependable, all-around post presence.
