Zach Russo brings a big-bodied lefty frame and captain-level pedigree to Seton Hall
Russo is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound freshman left-handed pitcher at Seton Hall who did not appear in any games in 2026, so the on-field sample is still blank, but his high-school résumé is useful: a four-year varsity arm, senior captain, 2.00 ERA, and multiple postseason runs for Tewksbury Memorial. He also earns points for academics and maturity, with National Honor Society credentials and nine years of club baseball. The fit looks like a developmental one—projectable, sturdy, and left-handed, with enough competitive background to suggest upside if the Pirates want to build him patiently.
