Physical, high-motor Montana State defender with proven leadership
Dane Fletcher is a former Montana State standout who translated from college defensive end to NFL linebacker, a sign of rare versatility, toughness, and football IQ. At Montana State, he was a team captain and Big Sky Defensive MVP in 2009, finishing that season with 67 tackles, 7 sacks, and 2 blocked kicks, which points to a disruptive, high-impact playmaker rather than a stats-only defender. He stands out for physicality, edge-setting, and leadership—traits that typically fit a culture-building defense well.
