Joe Burton gives Valpo a steady two-way wing with shot-making pop
Joe Burton, listed by Valparaiso as a guard, brings size, floor spacing, and reliable all-around production for the Beacons. In the 2017-18 season at Valparaiso, he averaged 11.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and shot 48.1% from the field, 37.8% from three, and 76.9% at the line, which points to a wing who can score efficiently without hijacking the offense. The bigger differentiator is feel: Burton has shown he can hit timely shots, move the ball, and fit into a team-first role, making him the kind of player coaches tend to trust in real-game pressure.
