A 6-foot-6 SWAC power bat who can change a game in one swing
In the 2025 season, Perez hit .324 with a .945 OPS, 12 doubles, 8 homers and 48 RBI for Jackson State, earning Preseason First Team All-SWAC recognition for 2026. He’s a big, right-handed infield bat with real middle-of-the-order juice, plus enough on-base skill to keep innings alive and enough strength to punish mistakes—hello, 415-foot homer energy. He missed the first 19 games of the 2026 season, so health and timing matter, but when he’s right, he profiles as one of the most dangerous offensive pieces in the SWAC.
